Business intelligencePurchasing leadership
As a Purchasing Supervisor in building-materials distribution, I managed the full purchasing cycle for door hardware and mechanical products—from RFQs and supplier selection through commercial negotiation, purchase orders, quality checks, shipment coordination, and final delivery. I also supported purchasing for a door-cylinder assembly workshop.
What I managed
Commercial judgment across multiple projects
Negotiated stronger terms with suppliers—including a change from 30% advance and 70% before dispatch to 30-day credit—to improve cash flow and reduce pre-shipment exposure.
Used purchasing history and metal-price trends across purchasing decisions to challenge proposed increases of 20–25% and pursue previous pricing or meaningful discounts.
Used batch production, partial shipments, air freight for critical items, and cost-sharing discussions to reduce delay risk across time-sensitive projects.

My career began in sales coordination and grew into purchasing leadership, where I managed supplier relationships and the details that keep projects moving. Today, I develop business reports and analytical tools. I am pursuing a master’s in Business Analytics at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke to deepen the connection between operational decisions and data.
